How do Can Iso-Max Fans work?
The highly efficient motor consists of a rotor and a stator, this unique combination of components makes sure the air flow is manipulated into a highly uniform jet of air. The flow of exhausted air has such a superior level of uniformity you will see minimal turbulence in the duct run. This will essentially result in lower overall decibel levels from air flow movement, and it will also minimise the drop in air flow, that you would normally see when attaching an extraction fan to other components.
The drop in airflow is directly related to the amount of back pressure that is created when attaching something like a filter or even ducting to the unit and this is a significant factor to consider when purchasing a fan. How to use a Can Iso-Max Extraction Fan?
Can Fan have carefully considered the installation process of these fans. The addition of two simple, yet effective hooks are a massively understated feature of this fan. With these hooks, you can connect your chain or rope ratchets and the fan is ready to use. They are perfect for use as an intake or out-take fan. Always consider the size of your intake fan compared to your extract fan, as you do not want to run into a position where you have a positive air pressure overall in your room. Ensure you have more air going out of your room than going in.
When choosing what size fan you need for your room, (if you are connecting to a carbon filter), you must consider the increase in pressure this will have on the fan. When attaching a filter or even duct runs with bends in you reduce the airflow that the fan can provide as it is essentially creating a resistance to that airflow. For a fully functioning extraction system, choosing the correct fan size is essential.
It is always preferable to use deluxe fast clamps and insulated ducting with the Can Iso-Max extract fan. Our fast clamps will ensure the optimal airtight seal around the flange, while insulated ducting will help further reduce and minimise any noise pollution heard from the unit. We also recommend you use premium fan speed controllers with extraction fans, as any cheaper versions will sometimes make a humming sound, especially on lower speed settings.
