G.A.S EC Fan Balancer
WHY CHOOSE A GAS FAN SPEED BALANCER?
- Balances the air flow between intake and exhaust fans
- Easy to maintain negative pressure.
- Regulates air flow of different sized fans
- Compatible with most EC fans
GAS have come strong on to the hydroponic scene with a range of equipment focusing on everything environmental. To complement their incredibly high-quality range of fans, they offer a range of control equipment that gives you the opportunity to be the master of your environment. This fan speed balancer solves the inherent problem of balancing your air flow, when you are running two fans from one controller. Rather than suffer the consequences of positive air pressure, or limited air flow, the balancer allows you to tailor the speed of each fan, increasing or decreasing each one as necessary.
HOW DOES THE GAS FAN SPEED BALANCER WORK?
You simply plug the intake fan into the cable marked ‘intake’, your extract fan to the cable marked ‘extract’ and then connect the entire unit to your main G.A.S EC Fan Controller with the third central cable. Once all connected, you simply adjust each knob as needed to get the correct air flow from each fan.
An example of the type of situation that would benefit from this is when you have the same sized intake and out-take fans. Having the filter attached to the extract will in turn mean that you will then be extracting less air than is being introduced by the intake fan. The controller allows individual control of each fan, so you can adjust the air flow as needed. Maintaining negative pressure in your grow room is essential to make sure all odour pass through the filter before leaving the room.
TIPS ON USE
Adjusting your negative pressure in a tent is a matter of looking at the sides. If they are sucking inwards slightly, then you are good to go. If they bellow outwards, then lower the speed of the intake until you see them start to suck inwards.
