How the SANlight Q6W LED Grow Light works
It is evident that SANlight have given much consideration to every aspect of creating the Q6W LED Light. It provides perhaps the most efficient LEDs in any grow light on the current market. Most LED grow lights produce around 2 µmols of PAR light per Joule of electricity, however due to the efficacy of the LEDs in the Q6W, it proudly boasts a huge 2.54 µmols of PAR light per Joule, rendering it around 35% more efficient than other lights. It also wastes as little electrical power as possible, boasting a power factor of more than 0.95.
The red part of the light spectrum is the most productive of all the colours and even though the Q6W has a full spectrum output it has the addition of lots of extra red light. It is believed that with this addition of extra red light, the Q6W produces a larger yield per watt than pretty much any LED grow light. At 215 watts it will produce as much light as 280 watts of electricity used by various other LED lights.
The secondary optics used in the Q6W results in a remarkably flat footprint. This allows your grow space to be highly productive right out to the edges. This makes the Q6W a perfect grow light for a space of 1 m² at a hanging height of 45cm. However, it could be used in a 1.2m² area very effectively.
