Clonex Pro Start

The newest addition to the Clonex family. Pro Start combines both organic and mineral nutrition to form a powerful solution for outstanding root development in seedlings, cuttings and young plants. Use as a media soak to get your cuttings off to a flying start, soak your seeds for improved germination rates or simply feed young plants to give them an optimum dose of nutrition before the vegetative phase begins!

How It Works

By carefully combining both organic and mineral elements, Growth Technology have been able to formulate a very powerful and effective early stage nutrient for your young plants. For the mineral components, Clonex Pro Start contains a the correct nitrogen:potassium ratio required for early leaf development. It also uses Nitrate Nitrogen to allow immediate uptake and use by the plant, this means results can be seen very quickly after first use. Phosphorus is present to help with energy conversion and metabolism. Alongside these important inputs, Pro Start has a full profile of chelated trace elements as well optimal boron and calcium to support early root initiation. The organic components consist of a blend of seaweed species; these are key to create and sustain and optimal balance of bioactivity within the growing media. This greatly helps with root health and supports leaf growth. Humic and fulvic acids are added to enhance nutrient uptake and L-amino acids give a metabolic boost and resistance to stress, this is particularly useful for preventing transplant shock.

How To Use Clonex Pro Start

Clonex Pro Start can be used in two ways; a propagation media soak or a root feed. It is suitable for use on all types of growing media. For a media soak mix up a dilution of 1ml per litre of water and soak your chosen propagation plugs for at least 15 minutes. Afterwards allow them to drain naturally before planting out your seedlings or cuttings. Seedlings can also be soaked overnight in the same dilution rate to help with germination success rates. Once your plants have established some roots Pro Start can then be used as a first feed at a rate of 4ml per litre with every watering. This can use used for up to 2 weeks (even once plants have been transplanted), after which you can then move to a vegetative stage nutrient, or for very sensitive plants use Formulex before moving to your veg nutrient schedule.

For best results we recommend soaking your seeds in Pro Start before germination, soaking your media before planting out and continuing use as a root drench for at least one feed before transplanting on. For cuttings use Clonex Mist as your foliar spray whilst you wait for roots to form.
