Composting worms specialise in processing organic waste and converting it into nutrient dense compost. We supply two types of worms, Dendrobaenas and Tiger Worms, both are great at eating organic matter and turning it into nutrient rich fertiliser. Both types of worms are very hardy, agile and vigorous breeders and most importantly very hungry.
Worms will improve moisture retention in soil, aerate the soil and improve its structure by moving through the soil and distributing nutrients as they do so. They also prevent roots from matting.
Tiger worms and Dendrobaenas both have an insatiable appetite, and these incredible creatures are capable of processing vast amounts of organic waste. We recommend a mixture of both species as they have slightly different ‘needs,’ this will ensure the best quality worm castings possible. The process of converting this waste into fertiliser is called vermicomposting and it is an effective way to break down organic matter, a method that has been practiced for thousands of years.
We recommend approximately 200g per 40-50L of soil for optimal results. We supply both Tiger and Dendrobaena Worms in batches of 100g, 250g, 500g, 1kg & 2kg. For help with these incredible worms and information on how to use them, please call us or check out website.
