The big brother to the ATS 200w, the ATS 300w is for those who want to still use a compact LED but require a little more power. It's small size allows it to be used in very little spaces, whilst the surprisingly high PPF of 816 µmol/s rivals some 600w HID lamps we have tested! It is ultra low profile and gives off very little heat meaning it can be mounted very close to the canopy. Perfect for a 0.8m x 0.8m grow tent or even in a 1m x 1m area for those that don't want the higher price tag of the 465w Zeus LED.
Through a sheer amount of research and development along with significant advances in technology, Lumatek have produced a range of extremely high quality LEDs. Lumatek LEDs boast a huge lifespan of around 60,000 hours, on a 12/12 cycle you can achieve over 13 years of use from these innovative units! However it gets better, as during this time you will not even need to change a single lamp over this time period. Unlike HPS lights, there is very little degradation over time, this means that not only will you not have to physically change bulbs, but your diodes will still be producing near on the same output, year in, year out, just like they did when new and only degrading around 1-3% per year. Due to he very high levels of PPF, Lumatek LED solutions can potentially save 40% on electricity bills as they will generate more yield per kWh. This coupled with the fact that you no longer need to purchase new lamps results in a sizeable saving over a period of time and a very good return on investment.
LED also provide a much broader spectrum of light compared to HPS lighting. This is particularly important when it comes to producing not only heavy yielding plants but high quality ones. Studies have shown that plants grown under LED lighting using high quality, mixed-spectrum diodes such as those found in Lumatek units will regularly produce plants with better terpene profiles, greater aromas and enhanced colours than those grown under HPS lighting.
LEDs produce far less heat than the equivalent wattage HID lamp, this is particularly useful for growers as it enables them to use smaller ventilation in their grow rooms to control the environmental temperature and humidity. This helps to lower the expense of kitting out a grow room with larger kit and further saves on electricity costs.
The Lumatek ATS Pro 300w is the perfect lighting solution for a grow space of around 0.8m x 0.8m. It is very low profile and once plants are established can be hung very close to canopy making it a great choice for those growing in a tent or even multi-layer rooms. For single light setups we would recommend using it in either the BudBox Pro Intermediate Tent, BudBox Pro Medium Tent or BudBox Pro Large Tent. Where possible we always recommend using the tallest possible tent as this gives more flexibility in terms of how you can grow your plants as well as generally having that bit more space, which always helps. For those choosing to run 2 or more lights in a tent then a larger model will be required, please check out our range of Grow Tents to find the perfect solution for your grow space. It may also be worth considering a Lumatek Zeus LED if the space permits.
As with all Lumatek LEDs the ATS Pro creates a light that is very close to natural sunlight, this, coupled with the built in dimmer means it is possible to use the ATS Pro from propagation all the way to harvest by simply adjusting the power and height it is hung at. As a general rule for more established plants, Lumatek recommend a hanging height of 20-30cm from the canopy, for younger or more sensitive plants this gap should be increased as well as a lower power setting used. For younger plants we always suggest to start around 25-50% power with the light around 50cm from the canopy. Monitor your plants over a few days and slowly increase the power and/or lower the light as needed. For flowering plants you can usually start at around 75% power and increase to 100% shortly afterwards. For propagation or very young plants we would always suggest to start on 25% and around 50-80cm from the canopy.
The new 'Pro' version of the ATS has been built using top quality Lumatek drivers and the latest generation higher efficiency top bin LEDs from Lumileds and Osram, generating a full-spectrum light source ideal for veg and flowering cycles. The latest version now features the Clear Glue Protection Cover on the LED bars. Unlike over models which use a plastic cover on the diodes, the clear glue creates a strong seal over the diodes resulting in a higher light transmittance of 99%, extended lifetime of the diodes with corrosion resistance and makes them waterproof to IP65 rating. The only maintenance needed is to simply clean the bars with with a wet cotton cloth.
Through advancements in technology, all units feature 'passive cooling' meaning there are no fans are moving parts needed to cool the fixtures. The ATS units will remain extremely cool during operation and the lack of moving parts means they are very robust, will last a long time and are completely silent when running.
Up to 100 Lumatek LEDs can be linked together using the Daisy Chain Control Cable (sold separately), by doing so allows all the units to be controlled from a single dimmer. Great for larger rooms. If you want to take things to the next level you can use the Lumatek Control Panel Plus as your lighting controller. This innovative product not only gives a greater level of control over your light output but also has the capabilities to turn your lights on and off without the need for external timers and contactors, dim your lights if your room exceeds a set temperature and control two rooms from a single controller to name just a few of its features!
