How To Use The LUMii Black 720w LED Grow Light
The LUMii Black LED is the perfect lighting solution for a 1.2m x 1.2m - 1.5m - 1.5m grow space. It is extremely low profile; a tiny 5cm without the ballast attached! Once plants are established it can be hung very close to canopy making it a great choice for those growing in a tent. For single light setups we recommend using it in a BudBox Pro XL Tent, BudBox Pro XL HL Tent, BudBox Pro XL Plus Tent or BudBox Pro XL Plus HL Tent. Where possible we always recommend using the taller ‘HL’ tents as this gives more flexibility in terms of how you can grow your plants as well as generally having that bit more space, which always helps. The LUMii Black is powered by a digital ballast (the same typically used to run HID lamps). This ballast has a built in dimmer which allows the output of the light to be controller to 250w, 400w, 600w as well as the full power setting of 720w. The fixture uses Full Spectrum + 660nm LED diodes making this light suitable for the entire growth cycle including propagation. As a general rule for more established plants, we recommend a hanging height of 30-50cm from the canopy, for younger or more sensitive plants this gap should be increased as well as a lower power setting used. For younger plants we always suggest to start on the 250w or 400w power setting with the light around 80cm from the canopy. Monitor your plants over a few days and slowly increase the power and/or lower the light as needed. For flowering plants you can usually start at around 400w-600w power and increase to 100% shortly afterwards. For propagation or very young plants we would always suggest to start on 250w and around 80-100cm from the canopy.
The digital ballast can be mounted directly to the LED fixture using the supplier mounting bracket and screws. If you wish to use the ballast 'remotely' (separate from the LED fixture), then you will need to purchase an IEC Male to Female Extension Lead to do so.
