OptiGlow Mini 360w Direct Drive LED Grow Light

The latest addition to our exclusive OptiGlow brand of lighting. After listening to customer feedback we have now added the OptiGlow Mini to the range so growers in smaller spaces can reap the benefits of this top tier tech! The OptiGlow Mini features the same 2.7µmol/J efficacy seen on the larger units but in a small 58cm x 58cm size. It's 360w output gives a total PPF of 972µmol/s. That's better than some 600w HID lamps, it really is small but mighty!

Features

We feel the OptiGlow range is currently the best choice of LED grow lights in terms of performance and affordability. The inclusion of the integrated driver, a feature more commonly seen in far more expensive models immediately makes it a solid choice over similarly priced lighting fixtures that still use a digital ballast to power them. The benefit of using a driver over a ballast is that the LED diodes are powered correctly every time, this not only prolongs their lifespan but also ensures the right spectral output at all times. It can also save heat too.

The spectrum has also been slightly adjusted when compared to some other LEDs on the market. We have opted for a slight increase in diodes that emit the red and blue light at either end of the spectrum chart. By doing so means this unit can benefit from a higher µmol output than others of the same wattage, resulting in bigger final yields and quicker growth rates. The full spectrum light, combined with the dimming feature allows the unit to be used from the very beginning of the vegetative phase all the way to the end of flowering. 

Our µmol outputs are also true! Yes this may sound crazy but we have our units properly tested so we can confidently advertise their output. Be wary of other LEDs (particularly budget models) that advertise high µmol/J, more often than not the figures are incorrect or are being measured very close to the diodes to give a 'true' reading but one that is not actually going to useable in real life!

How To Use The OptiGlow Mini 360w LED Grow Light

The OptiGlow Mini LED will perfectly illuminate a 0.6m x 0.6m - 0.8m x 0.8m grow space with flowering plants. It can be used once cuttings are rooted or seedlings are established if desired. Due to the high output of modern LEDs such as this fixture we recommend starting with a hanging height of around 45cm from the canopy. Whilst there is next to no risk of heat stress, the high PPF can be a little strong from some plants so by starting with a higher hanging height allows them to acclimatise without issues. The unit has four dimming settings; 140w, 210w, 290w and 360w. For young plants always begin on the lowest setting and gradually increase this over the course of a few weeks until the maximum setting can comfortably be used without any signs of stress. For more established plants start around 210w-290w. As the output is increased you can also begin to decrease the space between the light and canopy. By flowering most growers are able to run the unit at full power and around 15-20cm from the top of the canopy.
