A blend of 70% premium quality coco coir mixed with 30% perlite. This creates the perfect balance of aeration, drainage and water retention. The naturally low EC of the coir gives you full control over your plants nutrition right from the start and the inclusion of the perlite further benefits and enhances the media by creating a very free-draining and highly oxygenated environment for your roots, that will help deliver maximum performance.

Tropic Coco Mix is sold in 50L bags.

Questions & Answers

Ask a Question
  • Is this suitable for an indoor Bird of Bird of Paradise? Its absolutely enormous, easily over 6 feet but I've noticed it declining recently and im wondering if when I repotted it I used the wrong type of compost mix.

    Hi there,

Bird of Paradise plants require superb drainage and aeration alongside nutrition. We certainly advise our Tropic 70/30 Mix but would recommend considering a base nutritional feed to apply sparingly throughout it's life to maintain both health and vigor.

    Kind Regards.

  • Would this be good for propagating Fiddle Leaf Figs?

    Hi there,

Yes our tropic coco mix would indeed be a great potting medium for your Fiddle Leaf Fig, providing plenty of drainage and aeration to maximise your plant's health and vigor.

    Kind Regards,

  • Can this be used outdoors to plant up a windmill palm (trachycarpus fortunei) in a pot?

    Hi there,

Yes, featuring great drainage and a slightly acidic pH, this medium is ideal for your windmill palm.

    Kind Regards,

  • Is this suitable for monstera? Also does it have to be mixed with soil?

    Hi

Yes this could certainly be used for Monstera if you wish to. As this is a coco coir product you would need to ensure you use coco specific nutrient with it. However we would personally recommend using a 'soil' instead for this type of plant. Our best suggestion would be BioBizz Light Mix.

    Many thanks
