BioBizz Coco Mix

BioBizz's solution for those wishing to grow using coco coir. Coco Mix follows the BioBizz ethos of being 100% organic as well as strict standards to produce only top quality products. The coconut fibres are first decomposed over a period of time to soften them, then they are washed, dried and shredded to become the lightweight airy growing medium you will find in the bag. Coco differs from soil as it contains little to no EC rating, giving the user full control of their nutrition they use. BioBizz Coco Mix is ideal for growers who want a organic medium that is not soil or wish to follow and organic growing schedule but reap the benefits of growing with coir. These benefits include superb root aeration and water holding capacity to name a few.

How To Use BioBizz Coco Mix

BioBizz coco coir is ready to use straight out the bag. Be sure to break up any compacted parts that may have occurred during transport as you fill your pots. Try to shake and tap the pots as you fill them to make sure the coir settles out and levels properly, avoid pressing it down as this will reduce the air pockets and therefore the overall availability of oxygen resulting in less than optimal growth. We recommend a 10-20% run-off when growing with coco and plants should not be re-watered until they have dropped to about half the weight as what they were when last watered. Pick up your pots after watering to get an idea of the weight and use this method to re-check.

The BioBizz range of organic nutrients can be used with Coco Mix, if you decide to opt for another brand then it is very important to use a ‘coco-specific’ base nutrient when growing with coir. BioBizz Coco will work well with any of the brands we offer. For even better results we always recommend adding top quality mycorrhizae product when planting out such as Psycho Myco and for an extra growth boost, mix in Ecothrive Charge whilst potting up - this product works really well with coco coir.
